To be a healthy Christian community that God uses to draw people to faith and full maturity in Christ.
Fall Series: Got Joy?
OUTREACH
What is Outreach?
The way of Jesus teaches that we are to be salt and light to the people in our communities. Salt enhances the flavor of whatever it touches and light brings clarity to all it falls upon. So we, as followers of Jesus should enhance and bring clarity to the places in which we live.
Through acts of kindness, service, and love we can begin to bring salt and light to the individuals in our communities. These acts can range from the simple - providing a free car wash on a Saturday morning, to the highly organized - promoting a community wide fund raiser for a local resident with cancer.
At Peoples Church that is what outreach is all about. We want to shine a light that illuminates God’s goodness as we live a life of radical generosity to all the residents of Livingston and Washtenaw counties. The events scheduled are there to help you build relationships of love and service to those who do not know God’s love.
Come, join us as we serve the people of our community and learn what it means to follow the way of Jesus! How Can I Get Involved?
Peoples Church provides regular, ongoing outreach activities throughout the year. Whether you’re a long time attendee or you’ve just walked through the doors of the church, we have an opportunity for you! Check out the list below of the upcoming outreach events and contact the event coordinator if you have questions or are interested in volunteering.
Likewise, the Outreach Team is always in need of passionate, creative people who have a heart and desire to serve others. The Outreach team is responsible for creating and implementing most of the events you see listed. If you have any ideas for creative ways to communicate God’s love, contact us. The team meets every first and third Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. in classroom no.2. You can also contact Paul Zissler at 734-878-3407 or email him at paul@peoplesefc.org. Paul is the Outreach Coordinator for the church and would love to hear your ideas.
